About Trezor.io/Start
The official onboarding hub for all Trezor hardware wallets. Follow the guided flow to verify your device, install firmware, and create secure backups. Designed to help you adopt best practices and keep your private keys offline.
How it works — step by step
- Unbox & inspect: verify packaging for tamper signs and confirm device model.
- Plug in & open Trezor.io/Start: start the guided flow that installs firmware (if required) and checks authenticity.
- Create wallet backup: follow the backup/seed/backup-card instructions and verify your backup phrase.
- Set PIN & security: apply a strong PIN; consider passphrase protection for extra safety.
- Connect to Trezor Suite: manage assets, view portfolio, and send/receive securely.
Who should use it?
Every new Trezor owner — whether using Model One, Model T, or the Trezor Safe series — should complete the Start flow. It’s also the recommended place to reinstall firmware or review recovery best practices.
